Finance Manager

A well-established beverage manufacturing company in Ruwa seeks to employ a Finance Manager. Finance managers are expected to be detail-oriented, knowledgeable about statistics, have strong problem-solving skills, and have an investigative nature.

In this role, you will be required to manage and prepare the company budgets, manage the working capital cycle as well as monitor and maintain a robust and controlled environment that prevents, detects and mitigates risks and losses of stock among other duties.

To ensure success, finance managers should have a deep commercial awareness, strong numeracy skills, and a keen interest in the growth, efficiency, and profitability of an organization. Top candidates will have outstanding communication and report writing skills with superb technical ability and fantastic negotiation skills. A professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc) would also be suitable for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities


  •  Reviewing of the monthly and quarterly board packs.

  • Manages the preparation of the company's budgets.

  • Managing the working capital cycle and the treasury function.

  • Ensuring adequate high-standard financial and operational controls are in place and being utilised throughout the business.

  • Providing an effective credit control framework to minimise credit notes.

  • Structured management of subordinate performance in line with the company's performance management system.

  • Manage and coordinate all internal and external audit reviews.

  • Reviewing all tax returns (VAT, PAYE, income tax, WHP, etc).

  • Monitoring and management of actual expenses against budget.

  • Building and maintaining a robust control environment that prevents, detects and mitigates risks and losses of stock.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting / Professional Qualification ACCA, CIMA.

  • At least a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, Pastel Evolution, Excel, and Sage 1000.
