Group Credit Control Manager

Croco Motors is looking to hire an experienced Group Credit Control Manager to manage our debts and oversee our company’s lending process. As a credit manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, creating credit scoring models, approving and rejecting loans, negotiating payment terms, and updating the company’s credit policy.

The Group Credit Control Manager will be required to reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, managing past due accounts, reducing bad debts collaboratively with the business, referring and liaising with collection agencies, assessing and processing credit requests, managing policies and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities


  • Overseeing the performance of the Credit Function.

  • Liaising with external agencies regarding the collection of overdue accounts.

  • Identifying and liaising with Business Units regarding likely defaulting/unresolved account issues.

  • Providing leadership and coaching to facilitate development of an effective and proactive Credit & Accounts Receivables team.

  • Managing daily operations and processes for the Credit Control team

  • Managing customer accounts and debtor account information, ledger transactions and monitor credit limits/terms

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensuring the Group Credit Policy is strictly enforced to ensure reduction of debtors and aged debt.

  • Ensure that debtors settle their accounts within the specified frame.

  • Reconciling and checking monthly debtors’ statements.

  • Producing weekly and monthly reports on overdue accounts and identify and manage potential risks

  • Proactively review all overdue transactions and follow up customers

  • Ensuring customer issues are resolved quickly and payments are accurately allocated and collection targets are met


Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance/ Diploma in Credit Management.

  • Previous credit control experience (minimum of 5 years).

  • High command of excel and accounting packages.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent Communication skills with both Internal and External customers

  • Ability to foster and maintain excellent/strong working relationships with key stakeholders

  • Class 4 driver’s license.
