Temporary Receptionist – 1-month Fixed Term Contract

A Local company is looking for a receptionist to be responsible for greeting clients and visitors to their office for a 1-month fixed contract. You will be in charge of giving clients directions to various parts of the office, contacting employees regarding visitors, answering phones and taking messages, and sorting and distributing mail.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Prior experience as a receptionist is also helpful.

Duties And Responsibilities


  • Answer incoming calls and routing calls accordingly, answer questions about the company’s products and services and schedule appointments when necessary

  • Take accurate messages and relay them promptly

  • Keep and update a daily phone log-book

  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. forms and brochures)

  • Monitor that general staff are keeping the premises in pristine condition and ensuring

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries

  • Order front office and kitchen supplies and keep inventory of stock

  • Update calendars and schedule meetings

  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying.

  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person & office.

  • Monitor visitor access and maintaining security awareness.

  • General administrative duties including typing letters, printing labels, creating files, emails, scans and posting notices.

  • Create and update databases of potential buyers based on their interests and nature of their inquiry.

  • Maintain the calendar for Boardroom bookings and ensure the Boardroom is neat at all times.


Qualifications And Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. scanners and printers)

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Customer service attitude
