Digital Designer

Midlands State University is seeking a talented and creative Digital Designer to join our team.

The Digital Designer will be responsible for creating and designing engaging digital content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing campaigns. This is a full-time position located at Midlands State University.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and design engaging digital content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing campaigns.

  • Develop and maintain the visual identity of Midlands State University across all digital platforms.

  • Create and design graphics, videos, animations, and other visual elements for use in digital marketing campaigns.

  • Manage and maintain the university's social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital design and incorporate them into the university's digital marketing strategies.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, such as printers and designers, as needed.

  • Ensure all digital content is consistent with the university's brand guidelines and standards.

  • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement digital marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Be a holder of a first degree in Media and Communication or equivalent and a relevant Master’s degree;

  • Have good understanding of visual graphic design principles;

  • Possess experience in digital design of documents is a must;

  • Exhibit digital content skills;

  • Have strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques; and

  • Possess experience in creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences.
