Public Relations Officer

Our client, a leading agricultural company in Zimbabwe that specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality agricultural products, including seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, is looking to employ a Public Relations Officer.

The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for managing the company's public image, as well as building and maintaining relationships with the media and other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with the media, including journalists, editors, and bloggers.

  • Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other materials to relevant media outlets.

  • Organize and coordinate press conferences, media interviews, and other media events.

  • Monitor and analyze media coverage of the company and its products.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and community leaders.

  • Plan and execute events and activities to enhance the company's public image.

  • Manage the company's social media presence, including creating and publishing content and responding to comments and messages.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, media, communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in public relations, preferably in the agriculture sector.

  • Strong understanding of public relations principles and practices in the agriculture sector.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A driver's license is a must.
