Sales Assistant

Housmatt Investments, a growing clothing retail company in Zimbabwe currently with 3 outlets, is looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Assistant to join their sales and marketing team.

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting the sale of their products and contributing to the company’s growth by increasing revenue through sales maximisation.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Greet customers and provide assistance with their shopping needs

  • Promote the sale of products and services to customers

  • Assist customers with product selection and provide information on features and benefits

  • Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that products are properly displayed and stocked

  • Assist with merchandising and product displays

  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and purchasing, to ensure that customer needs are met

  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ordinary Level, including English and Maths

  • Marketing Certificate or Diploma or an Administration Qualification

  • Must be approachable, knowledgeable and helpful.

  • Must have plenty of energy and a positive outlook.

  • You must constantly be developing your skills.

  • Must have good knowledge of social media marketing.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one of our local languages.

  • Must be computer literate.
