Join us in making a difference in the lives of children and communities around the world. As a Housekeeper at CURE International in Bulawayo, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.

You will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties and maintaining an orderly environment within the hospital. Your goal is to create a clean and hygienic space that supports the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure strict adherence to duty rosters and schedules for cleaning tasks.

  • Professionally clean and service all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.

  • Collect, gather, and dispose of hospital waste in a timely manner, following proper waste management protocols.

  • Document cleaning reports accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Manage the inventory of allocated cleaning materials, equipment, and apparatus, informing the Housekeeping Manager of any anticipated re-supplies.

  • Stock supplies related to housekeeping, including sundries, toiletries, cleaning agents, and air fresheners, in offices, restrooms, and wards.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 'O' Levels or equivalent educational qualification.

  • Proven experience in a similar environment, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, and best practices.

  • Familiarity with proper waste management and infection control protocols.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
