Hammer and Tongues Africa is currently seeking Accounts Clerks to join their finance department. As an Accounts Clerk, you will play a vital role in processing and managing various financial transactions across the company's diverse business sectors. Your attention to detail and accuracy will contribute to the financial integrity of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Process and manage requisitions, petty cash, receivables, payables, and taxes across multiple business sectors.

  • Perform reconciliations, comparisons, and data verification to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Conduct stock counts and monitor costs in relevant sectors, supporting effective inventory management.

  • Perform daily takings checks and reconcile with sales records, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

  • Assist with data entry, cleaning, filing, and archiving of accounting records.

  • Compile required reports and schedules for review by management.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and provide support to the accounting team as needed.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

  • Knowledge of computers and administration is essential.

  • Any relevant accounting experience will be considered an added advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing and record-keeping.
