Business Development Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to join their dynamic team in the Western Cape, Cape Town. As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a vital role in servicing and developing business within the specialized agricultural industry.

This position requires a sales-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the agricultural sector. Join our client's team and make a significant impact on their sales and business growth in this unique industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the agricultural industry.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.

  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to represent the company and promote products.

  • Present product offerings and value propositions to clients, addressing their specific needs.

  • Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting profit targets.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and delivery of products.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, product developments, and regulatory changes.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric qualification is essential.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport.

  • Proven sales experience in the agricultural industry is essential and non-negotiable.

  • Ability to support the industry at events and exhibitions.

  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of delivering sales results and meeting targets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.


Remuneration:

The successful candidate will receive a negotiable monthly basic salary ranging from R40,000 to R55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits, tools of the trade, and allowances will be provided.
