Supply Chain Engineer

Our client is looking for a results-oriented and highly skilled Supply Chain Engineer to optimize and streamline their supply chain operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing efficient supply chain processes to enhance productivity and maximize cost-effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, including inventory management, demand forecasting, and procurement processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain bottlenecks, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products.

  • Conduct data analysis and utilize advanced forecasting techniques to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock-outs.

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships to ensure the availability of quality materials and services.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and implement technological solutions to streamline supply chain operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for cost reduction, waste elimination, and overall process optimization.

  • Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the supply chain processes.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of supply chain management software and tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in supply chain management.


Remuneration:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive remuneration package of R40,000 per month, along with additional benefits, allowances, and incentives.
