Finance and Admin Officer - Wallet Bright Capital
An exciting opportunity has arisen within an established and fast-growing microfinance company based in Harare. The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for basic administrative and financial management and accounting requirements of the micro-finance company.
As the Finance and Administration Officer, you will be expected to provide leadership support and keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will be required to oversee administrative and clerical activities; greet and direct office visitors; collect, organize, and retrieve information and documents; and make arrangements for meetings and travel.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant financial data.
- Office Administration
- Evaluating and optimizing financial controls and procedures.
- Updating daily transaction records and assisting with payroll administration.
- Managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
- Keeping records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and budgets.
- Identifying financial liabilities and performing risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
- Resolving account discrepancies and performing account reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
- Manage the organisation’s liabilities (e.g. insurance premiums)
- Identify and address accounting discrepancies
- Participate in payroll processes
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Accounting/ Finance degree from a reputable institution.
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Clean class 4 driver’s licence.
