Graduate Trainee Finance and Administration - Aropak Board & Timber

We are looking for a Finance & Administration Intern to perform daily finance and admin tasks that will support our finance and administration team.  Finance & Administration Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, external and internal audits, and general fiduciary responsibilities for accounting, internal control structures and compliance facilities, as well as performing other administrative duties as assigned by the management


The ideal candidate must be a Finance or Accounting or Business Administration career-oriented person. The successful candidate will be exposed to a large-scale corporate environment where they will receive on-the-job training, learn the corporate culture, and develop into a Finance and Administration Professional.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Draft Communications for the target market and current clients

  • Prepares written communications ensuring that outgoing correspondence is professional, accurate, and grammatically correct

  • Assist in Financial Accounting filing including accounts payable invoices, advisor files, tax returns

  • Calendar Management, including scheduling meetings, rooms and appointments

  • Ensures needs are proactively identified and provides required information/documents for him/her to complete duties

  • Performs various and sundry administrative duties including photocopying, printing, scanning, filing, maintaining administrative data, etc, premises related issues and ordering and maintaining office supplies, phone, and computer service

  • On-boards new employees, ensuring timely set-up prior to start-date – includes ordering/transferring equipment, email/systems access, asset assignments, updating departmental admin databases, correspondence with new employee

  • Performs various and sundry administrative duties

  • Creates and maintains an organized administrative databases

  • Maintains database information, such as mailing lists, vendors, in applicable format


Qualifications and Requirements

  • An accounting or finance degree with 1-year of experience.

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Motivated, self-started personality, sense of responsibility and organization skills

  • Excellent communication skills
