Plumber

Applications are invited from suitably competent individuals to fill in the above position that has arisen at Bellevue Abattoir Butchery in Harare.

We are looking for an experienced plumber to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems, and associated fixtures and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial structures. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure they comply with regulatory codes.

To be successful as a plumber you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems.

  • Perform installation of plumbing systems at new properties.

  • Inspect previously installed plumbing systems.

  • Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.

  • Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various

  • plumbing systems a company installs and maintains

  • Work carefully to follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.

  • Communicate well with team members and fellow employees.

  • Manage a work log.

  • Keep detailed reports of work done.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Three or more years of trade experience as a plumber or plumber's apprentice.

  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs.

  • Time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations.

  • Understanding current field regulations.
