Field Officers

Our client is a leading player in the tobacco industry in Zimbabwe that is committed to providing high-quality products and services to its customers.

We are seeking qualified and experienced Field Officers to join our client's team and ensure the day-to-day implementation of agricultural project activities. The Field Officer will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of agricultural project activities in the field. The successful candidate will follow up on beneficiaries and the progress of the activities and prepare weekly progress reports on field activities.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in agriculture or tobacco production, one year of working experience in tobacco production or any contract farming experience, possess a PDL or any motor vehicle driver's license and be able to ride a motorbike.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the day-to-day implementation of agricultural project activities.

  • Follow up on beneficiaries and the progress of the activities.

  • Prepare weekly progress reports on field activities.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective project implementation.

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor the progress of agricultural activities and provide technical assistance to farmers.

  • Train farmers on best practices and techniques for tobacco production and post-harvest handling.

  • Identify and address any challenges or issues that arise during project implementation.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including beneficiary lists, crop yields, and expenses.

  • Ensure compliance with all project policies, procedures, and regulations.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate in agriculture or tobacco production.

  • One year of working experience in tobacco production or any contract farming experience.

  • Possess a PDL or any motor vehicle driver's license and be able to ride a motorbike.
