Internal Audit Head

A leading investment company that manages a portfolio of assets on behalf of its clients is currently seeking an experienced Internal Audit Head to join its team.

The Internal Audit Head will be responsible for developing and implementing an internal audit program that will ensure the effectiveness of the company's internal controls and risk management processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in internal audit, be knowledgeable in risk management and control frameworks, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement an internal audit program that includes risk-based audit planning, testing of controls, and reporting of audit results.

  • Provide guidance and support to the internal audit team, including coaching and mentoring.

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential risk exposure.

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's internal controls and risk management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Monitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors.

  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in internal audit and risk management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years experience at the managerial level in Internal Audit,

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management, or equivalent from a recognized University.

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or a full ACCA qualification.

  • Accreditation with the Institute of Internal Auditors or any similar professional body an added advantage.

  • Internal audit experience in a public accounting firm is an added advantage.
