Management Accountant

Our client, a supplier of different food products, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.

This includes developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. You will also be required to provide support with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Develop and maintain an effective cost accounting system to ensure accurate product costing and pricing.

  • Identify and track key performance indicators to support business objectives and strategy.

  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and provide analysis of actual versus budgeted performance.

  • Analyze financial data and identify trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings as required.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Communicate financial results and performance to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting.

  • Professional qualifications like CIMA/ACCA are an added advantage.

  • At with at least 2years in a similar role
