Sales and Marketing Officer

The National Biotechnology Authority is a government agency that is responsible for regulating and promoting the use of biotechnology in Zimbabwe.

We promote the development and commercialization of biotechnology products and services that benefit society while ensuring safety and environmental sustainability.

We are seeking a competent and dynamic Sales and Marketing Officer to join our team. The Sales and Marketing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to promote the use of biotechnology products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with experience in the biotechnology industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that promote the use of biotechnology products and services.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the use of biotechnology products and services.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as government agencies, private sector partners, and research institutions.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the biotechnology industry.

  • Develop and maintain a customer database and manage customer relationships.

  • Plan and coordinate marketing events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops, to promote the use of biotechnology products and services.

  • Develop marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and newsletters, to promote the use of biotechnology products and services.

  • Prepare and present sales and marketing reports to management and stakeholders.

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that sales and marketing strategies are effective and relevant.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent.

  • A professional course in marketing is added advantage.

  • At least 2 years of marketing experience.

  • Clean class 4 driver’s license.
