Manager, Internal Audit (IT)

Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe is looking for a Manager, Internal Audit (IT) to lead and review the audit process for a portfolio of audits through audit execution and oversight of the audit team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent and objective assurance that enables client-centric risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT internal auditing and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and review the audit process for a portfolio of audits, ensuring that audits are executed in accordance with the approved audit plan and in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures

  • Provide independent and objective assurance that enables client-centric risk management

  • Analyze complex sets of data to interpret, visualize, and identify trends

  • Ensure that all audit findings are adequately documented, reported, and tracked to closure

  • Manage and engage with various stakeholders at a senior level, including executive management, business unit heads, and regulators

  • Ensure that the audit team operates in accordance with the bank's code of ethics and professional standards

  • Manage and lead teams with a proven track record of delegating and prioritizing tasks

  • Ensure that adequate resources are available to complete the audit plan

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the audit team


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Audit, Computer Science, or Information Systems

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in internal auditing

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in planning and executing audits

  • Strong understanding of IT controls

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
