Craft Properties Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join their team. As an Accounts Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all accounting transactions, maintaining physical files, reviewing expenditures, making payments to creditors, preparing financial reports, maintaining the assets register, computing taxes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Your expertise in accounting principles, analytical skills, and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting informed decision-making by management.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage all accounting transactions, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

  • Maintain physical files of accounting transactions, ensuring proper documentation and organization.

  • Review expenditures and ensure compliance with budgets and financial policies.

  • Make payments to creditors, follow up on invoices and receipts, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

  • Ensure timely bank payments and manage cash flow effectively.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including management accounts and financial statements.

  • Maintain the assets register to track and monitor company assets.

  • Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure successful completion of tax filings, such as VAT returns, NSSA returns, QPDs, ITF263, ITF16, ITF12, Withholding Tax, Annual Returns, etc.

  • Conduct regular process evaluations and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.

  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to provide advice and recommendations to management.

  • Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis of financial information to support decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and synthesize data for reporting purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Utilize accounting software and packages such as Pastel, Sage, or similar tools for efficient financial management.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.

  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA, CIS, CIMA, ICAZ, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and process evaluation skills.

  • Knowledge of accounting standards and ability to provide advice to management based on industry trends.

  • Ability to conduct research, analyze information, and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of accounting packages such as Pastel, Sage, or similar software is an added advantage.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

  • High ethical standards and integrity in financial practices.
