Established in April 2021, CURE Zimbabwe is the first and only hospital in the country of 14 million people to provide orthopedic care for disabilities such as clubfoot, bowed legs, and knock knees to children regardless of their economic status.

CURE International is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to oversee the operational, financial, spiritual, and clinical aspects of our hospital and related programs. As the primary representative of CURE International, you will serve as the spokesperson and liaison with our Mission Support Center, the local government, and non-governmental entities.

The Executive Director will play a crucial role in equipping and empowering the hospital management team to fulfill our mission effectively. Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate strategic planning for the hospital, leading the team in executing objectives and initiatives.

  • Provide oversight and support to the Spiritual Director in implementing the spiritual ministry program in alignment with CURE's Essential Standards for Spiritual Ministry.

  • Offer spiritual leadership to the hospital team, encouraging them to fulfill their work with a sense of purpose and alignment with God's purposes.

  • Collaborate with the People & Culture Manager to hire staff, ensuring proper orientation and training.

  • Support expatriates and visitors by overseeing logistics and ensuring their success and contributions to the hospital.

  • Maintain compliance with local laws and ensure the hospital's policies align with relevant guidelines and standards.

  • Develop relationships with governmental and non-governmental agencies and foster partnerships within the local community.

  • Prepare and submit reports to the Mission Support Center, following established timelines.

  • Evaluate team members and set annual goals for their professional development.

  • Uphold ethical practices, ensuring alignment with CURE's Statement of Faith and accepted business and professional ethics.

  • Manage financial planning, asset insurance, and compliance with fiscal priorities and multi-year plans.

  • Foster collaboration between hospital management and functional areas of the Mission Support Center.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a medium to large-sized team in a multi-disciplinary setting.

  • Previous healthcare industry experience of at least 5 years, preferably as an administrator.

  • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of the local language(s) may be necessary depending on the location.

  • Familiarity with developing country settings and cross-cultural experience is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of the Joint Commission or SafeCare accreditation process is preferred.

  • Fundraising experience and knowledge would be a valuable asset.

  • Demonstrates a mature Christian faith with a close personal relationship with the Lord, evidenced by a strong prayer life, a commitment to and love for the Word of God, and a call to evangelism.
