Credit Controller
Our client is a market leader in the transport and logistics industry. They are looking for an individual with numerical aptitude and high integrity to join their team as a Credit Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial stability of the organization. You will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organization and maintaining positive relationships with customers. The package includes a gross salary of $510 USD.
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, collecting outstanding debts, and ensuring adherence to credit policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers to collect outstanding debts and resolve customer queries.
- Prepare account reconciliations, ensuring accurate allocation of payments and providing weekly statements.
- Ensure customer accounts are managed within the terms and conditions of the company's credit policy.
- Conduct credit vetting process for new credit customers.
- Maintain and ensure customer invoicing is in line with set credit limits.
- Apply interest charges on overdue accounts as per company-approved policies.
- Maintain accounts receivable files.
- Ensure customers are billed at the correct charge-out rates.
- Maintain account balances within set parameters approved by the credit committee.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Accounting/Finance degree or professional course such as CIS/ACCA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Credit Controller.
Skills & Attributes:
- Good knowledge of Pastel Evolution.
- Advanced MS Excel and computer skills.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Ability to remain focused for extended time periods.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
