Credit Controller

Our client is a market leader in the transport and logistics industry. They are looking for an individual with numerical aptitude and high integrity to join their team as a Credit Controller.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial stability of the organization. You will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organization and maintaining positive relationships with customers. The package includes a gross salary of $510 USD.

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, collecting outstanding debts, and ensuring adherence to credit policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Communicate with customers to collect outstanding debts and resolve customer queries.

  • Prepare account reconciliations, ensuring accurate allocation of payments and providing weekly statements.

  • Ensure customer accounts are managed within the terms and conditions of the company's credit policy.

  • Conduct credit vetting process for new credit customers.

  • Maintain and ensure customer invoicing is in line with set credit limits.

  • Apply interest charges on overdue accounts as per company-approved policies.

  • Maintain accounts receivable files.

  • Ensure customers are billed at the correct charge-out rates.

  • Maintain account balances within set parameters approved by the credit committee.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Accounting/Finance degree or professional course such as CIS/ACCA.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Credit Controller.


Skills & Attributes:

  • Good knowledge of Pastel Evolution.

  • Advanced MS Excel and computer skills.

  • Excellent mathematical skills.

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Ability to remain focused for extended time periods.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.
