Head of Marketing

SIRDC is inviting applications from qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Head of Marketing. As the Head of Marketing, you will play a critical role in identifying, formulating, and executing marketing plans, strategies, and activities that position our brands for dominance in the market.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and enhancing brand visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Market the Centre's research outputs and consultancy services to industry, commerce, and other stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement marketing plans, strategies, promotional programs, and product concepts to increase revenue and market share.

  • Lead the strategic execution of marketing campaigns.

  • Develop brand-positioning plans, statements, advertising briefs, brand properties, and specifications.

  • Develop marketing communication programs and campaigns for the Centre's brands and evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Recommend appropriate pricing strategies based on market research studies and customer insights.

  • Evaluate marketing tactics and strategies in the acquisition of new consumers.

  • Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets.

  • Develop and manage appropriate media content to ensure consistent print and digital coverage of the Centre's products and services.

  • Prepare and present regular sales and marketing reports to Executive Management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent.

  • Relevant Master's degree.

  • Professional qualification is an added advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Demonstrable interpersonal, analytical, conceptual, and disruptive thinking skills.

  • Must be a member of MAZ (Marketing Association of Zimbabwe).
