Accountant

Smalldot Investments, a leading company in the Logistics & Motor Spares sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join their team.

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial management in the logistics and motor spares industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.

  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other statutory reports.

  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and financial processes.

  • Provide financial support and guidance to other departments within the organization.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to financial management in the logistics and motor spares sector.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is ad added advantage.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the logistics and motor spares sector.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
