Personal Assistant to the General Manager

Sandawana Mines is looking for a highly organized and efficient Personal Assistant to the General Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager by managing their schedule, providing administrative support, and ensuring efficient coordination of activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.

  • Take minutes and prepare accurate and timely meeting reports.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including scheduling flights, accommodations, and transportation.

  • Screen and handle telephone calls, inquiries, and requests, directing them to the appropriate parties.

  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring confidentiality and easy retrieval of documents.

  • Manage the General Manager's diary, prioritizing and scheduling appointments and tasks.

  • Prepare and format various documents, including correspondences, reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Provide general administrative support, including handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, drafting letters, and managing office supplies.

  • Handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.

  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other materials as required.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Business Management/Administration or an Executive Secretarial Diploma or related qualifications.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a similar role.

  • High level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to work well in a team, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
