Trailer Mechanic – Dieftrack Marketing (SpeedBulk)

We are an established company in the Transport Industry and we are seeking an experienced candidate for the following position in our workshop:


Trailer Mechanic


Key Accountabilities



  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trailer bodies, systems, and components

  • Performing preventative maintenance measures on trailers

  • Cleaning fuel tanks

  • Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required

  • Inspecting, servicing and replacing trailer parts, including tyres

  • Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues

  • Ensuring that trailers meet the country’s road safety requirements

  • Compiling inspection reports, documenting repairs and reporting all findings to management


Qualifications and Competencies



  • Trade Tested Class 1 Mechanic

  • An additional technical qualification will be an added advantage

  • Ability to meet deadlines and paying attention to detail.

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Trailer Mechanic

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems such as hydraulics, air brakes and electrical systems
