Sales Representatives

Brighton Piggery which runs a new piggery with a 300-sow head is looking for sales representatives to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and marketing our farm produce as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients and wholesale buyers.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous sales experience in the meat industry is a distinct advantage.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:




  • Generating leads.

  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals.

  • Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients or wholesale buyers.

  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.

  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.

  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.

  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.

  • Understanding and promoting our meat production.

  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.

  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.

  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote our meat produce.

  • Maintaining client records.

  • Answering client questions about credit terms, produce, prices, and availability.


Sales Representative Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business studies or a related field.

  • 3 years of experience in the meat industry

  • In-depth understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

  • Clean class 2 driver's license
