Trailer Mechanic

We are searching for an experienced trailer mechanic to join our team and take on the responsibilities of inspecting and maintaining the mechanical and electrical parts of our trailers. The responsibilities of the trailer mechanic include servicing and repairing trailer parts, compiling inspection reports, and ensuring that trailers are roadworthy.

Job Summary


  • Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for performing intermediate-level maintenance, service, and repair of our trailers, containers, chassis and other equipment.

  • The Mechanic must be able to troubleshoot issues and complete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet our specifications at all times.

  • This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

    Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 20+ years of age, with the full legal right to work in Zimbabwe.

  • At least 1 year of experience in Semi-Trailer maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.

  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE).

  • Basic welding skills (MIG and stick).

  • Ability to fulfil physical requirements (lift/move appliances up to 50 kg).
