Accountant

Our client, a leading agricultural company in Zimbabwe that specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality agricultural products, including seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, is looking to employ an Accountant to join their finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the company's accounting system.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.

  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other Zimra returns.

  • Monitor the company's cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that financial procedures are aligned with the company's overall objectives.

  • Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the agriculture sector.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Possession of a driver's license is a must.
