Graduate Intern – Real Estate Department

Mawere Sibanda Commercial Lawyers is a leading law firm that provides legal services to individuals, companies, and organizations in Zimbabwe and beyond.

We are seeking a recent graduate (2021 upwards) to join our Real Estate Department in a graduate internship program. The Graduate Intern will provide support to the Real Estate team and gain practical experience in the legal profession.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Preparing and reviewing agreements of sale, lease agreements, conveyancing transfer documents, security registration documents, and any other contracts or documents in the Real Estate Department;

  • Attending various public offices to make inquiries or lodge documents in relation to Real Estate matters;

  • Conduct legal research on real estate matters and prepare reports.

  • Assist with drafting legal documents, including agreements, contracts, and leases.

  • Attend meetings with clients and assist with taking notes.

  • Assist with the management of client files and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Collaborate with the Real Estate team to provide support on projects and assignments.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Real Estate Department as needed.

  • Performing any other duties required of the Graduate Intern by the Head of the Real Estate Department


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possession of a degree in Law from an accredited law school (Conveyancing is a must)

  • Experience in conveyancing and notarial practice is an added advantage.

  • High levels of integrity and honesty.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
