Packhouse Production Supervisor

Takura Trust is a leading agricultural company in Zimbabwe, committed to producing high-quality fruits and vegetables for local and export markets.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Packhouse Production Supervisor to join our team. The Packhouse Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the production of high-quality fruits and vegetables in the packhouse.

The successful candidate will have experience in packhouse operations, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the packhouse, including scheduling, production planning, and quality control

  • Supervise a team of packhouse workers and provide training and guidance as needed

  • Record incoming produce

  • Meet daily, and shipping plan targets

  • Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards

  • Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and effective operations

  • Keep inventory and stock records up to date

  • Manage inventory and ensure that adequate supplies are available for production

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as farming and marketing, to ensure that production meets demand

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and quality

  • Monitor and report on production metrics, such as yield and waste

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or certificate in agriculture or a related field

  • Farm Production experience

  • Computer literacy

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Should be able to plan an solve problems

  • Ability to record and compile daily production activities

  • Ability to lead, supervise and assign duties to subordinates
