Senior Credit Risk Analyst

POSB is a leading banking institution in Zimbabwe. We offer a wide range of financial services, including personal banking, business banking, and wealth management.

POSB is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk across the bank's lending portfolio.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing credit risk management processes and programs in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy and regulatory guidelines to ensure a healthy loan book.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Credit risk assessment.

  • Loan portfolio management.

  • Credit risk monitoring and reporting.

  • Foster credit risk management culture.

  • Conduct credit risk assessments on new and existing customers, ensuring that credit risks are accurately assessed and mitigated.

  • Develop and implement credit risk models and methodologies to identify potential risks and opportunities.

  • Monitor credit risk exposure and develop strategies to minimize credit losses.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to ensure that credit risk policies and procedures are aligned with the bank's overall risk management framework.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior analysts on the team.

  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements related to credit risk management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Business-related degree.

  • IOBZ qualification or Risk Management Diploma.

  • At least 3 years in credit risk management.
