Corporate 24 is seeking an experienced Surgical Wards Matron to oversee the daily operations of our surgical wards at our hospital in Belgravia, Harare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our surgical wards are run efficiently and effectively and that patients receive the highest quality of care.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of our surgical wards, including staffing, patient care, and equipment maintenance.

  • Coordinate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that our surgical wards are compliant with all regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor patient outcomes and make recommendations for improvement where necessary.

  • Provide leadership and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in the surgical wards.

  • Ensure that patient and family concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in midwifery, intensive care, theatre ,nursing adminstration.

  • Business administration or management qualifications are an added advantage.

  • Experience in a surgical ward for at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

  • At least 10 years nursing experience.

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Good team leader

  • Highly organized

  • Smart and effective communicator.
