Warehouse Manager Ref# TRZW839

A local company is looking for an organized warehouse manager to supervise the receipt, dispatching, and storage of merchandise in their warehouse.

The warehouse manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions. You will oversee, train, evaluate and reward staff. You will ensure the maintenance of company assets.

To ensure success you need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

  • Ensure that the warehouse is organized and clean, and that products are stored in the correct locations.

  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures that align with the company's overall objectives.

  • Train and supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance management.

  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is maintained and serviced as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure that the warehouse is meeting the needs of the company.

  • Implement safety procedures and ensure that all warehouse staff are following safety guidelines.

  • Monitor warehouse expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  • Prepare and provide regular reports on warehouse operations to senior management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate or Diploma in logistics and transport management or retail management.

  • At least 5 years of experience with a reputable construction or heavy manufacturing company is essential

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.

  • Experience in managing inventory levels and conducting inventory checks.
