Accountant

Sante Healthlife is a leading healthcare provider in Zimbabwe that provides medical aid to individuals and companies.

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented, reliable accountant to correspond with customers, companies, and medical aid societies regarding payments, invoices, credit memos, and debtors.

The accountant will be responsible for managing the company's accounting and financial operations, including managing payments, invoices, credit memos, and debtors.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIS), at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, a medical background in accounting, and be available to start immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Correspond with customers, companies, and medical aid societies regarding payments, invoices, credit memos, and debtors

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable

  • Authorization of payments to suppliers

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

  • Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial data to provide insights to the management team

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

  • Manage the company's tax affairs, including filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax laws

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date

  • Develop and manage financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data

  • Provide financial advice and support to the management team

  • Ensure timely renewal of business licenses and permits for the hospital

  • Participate in the development of strategic plans and annual budgets


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or CIS)

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a medical background with knowledge of medical billing and coding is preferred.

  • Immediate availability
