Drivers X3

Family Aids Caring Trust (FACT) is a non-profit organization that provides care and support to people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as orphans and vulnerable children affected by the disease. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of these individuals and their families through community-based programs and services.

We are seeking three (3) Drivers to join our team. The Drivers will be responsible for driving FACT vehicles to transport staff, clients, and goods to various locations in and around the organization's operational areas.

The ideal candidates will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and 3 years of experience as a professional driver.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive FACT vehicles to transport staff, clients, and goods to various locations in and around the organization's operational areas.

  • Ensure that all passengers wear seat belts and that the vehicle is not overloaded.

  • Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition at all times.

  • Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle, such as checking the oil and tire pressure, and report any mechanical problems to the supervisor.

  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes for each trip to save time and fuel.

  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Assist with loading and unloading goods and equipment as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.

  • Ensure the safety and security of passengers and goods at all times.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A clean four driver’s license (License should be more than 5 years);

  • Valid defensive driver’s license;

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.

  • Experience working in Non-Governmental Organizations or Civil Society Organizations in HIV/AIDS-related programmes is an added advantage.

  • A mature person who is well-organized;

  • Ability to work independently but within a team framework;

  • Fluent in English and Shona.
