Operations Assistant

Zero Degrees Investments is a logistics and transportation company that provides transport services throughout Zimbabwe. We are committed to providing our clients with efficient and reliable transport solutions that meet their needs.

We are currently looking for an Operations Assistant to join our team and help us ensure that our fleet is compliant with the necessary requirements for trips.

The Operations Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that our fleet is compliant with the necessary requirements for trips. This includes reporting, permits, and licensing.

The successful candidate will be required to perform daily reports on traffic movement, liaise with drivers, and maintain/update the fleet register.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Daily report on traffic movement, current positions, border efficiencies & client efficiencies

  • POD scanning and uploading on drive

  • Sending pre-alerts and SADs to agents for pre-clearance

  • Extending RIT documents that are due to expire

  • Daily reporting on traffic movement and liaising with drivers

  • Collect load documents for incoming trucks

  • Perform truck inspections & Driver checklists

  • Maintain/update fleet register

  • Maintain/update driver register and fleet register

  • Responsible for vehicle change of ownership & registering vehicles and trailers at CVR

  • Responsible for debriefing drivers before and after trips

  • Any other duties as may be assigned by management or operationally required


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain management

  • At least 5 Ordinary Levels

  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience

  • Knowledge of Tramigo, Mix Telematics, or Globaltrack is a distinct advantage

  • Proficiency in Excel
