Quantity Surveyor

Steelpartner is a leading construction company specializing in the design and construction of commercial and residential buildings. The company is committed to providing high-quality construction services to their clients, and they pride themselves on their commitment to excellence.

Steel Partner is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost of construction projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts.

The successful candidate will work closely with the construction team to ensure that all projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Preparing cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs.

  • Evaluating and analyzing tender documents, preparing tender pricing and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Managing project budgets, including monitoring and controlling project costs.

  • Conducting cost analysis and preparing cost reports for construction projects.

  • Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts, managing payments, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.

  • Evaluating change orders, assessing their impact on project costs, and negotiating changes with clients and subcontractors.

  • Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety regulations.

  • Preparing and submitting progress reports to clients and other stakeholders.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in construction cost estimating software.

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
