Senior Credit Analyst (Harare)

We are seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our team in Harare. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Banking & Finance or a business-related degree, a clean driver's license, and a minimum of two years of experience in a microfinance or financial institution under the CREDIT Department at a senior level.

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and make recommendations to the credit committee.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Analyzing credit data and financial information to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.

  • Preparing credit proposals and making recommendations to the credit committee.

  • Reviews Loan applications and recommends to relevant approving authority.

  • Tracks and monitors loan portfolio performance.

  • Assessing and mitigating credit risks.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Conducting site visits to assess the viability of potential borrowers.

  • Ensuring compliance with all banking policies and regulations.

  • Providing training and guidance to junior credit analysts.

  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the credit department.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Banking & Finance or a business-related degree.

  • Clean driver's license.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a microfinance or financial institution under the CREDIT Department at a senior level.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Familiarity with banking software and systems.
