Our client is seeking a Buyer to join their procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products and services for the company, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that the company's procurement processes are efficient and effective.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Source and purchase products and services for the company

  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices and terms

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure that they meet the company's quality and delivery standards

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's goals and objectives

  • Ensure that the company's procurement processes are efficient and effective

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify procurement needs and ensure that they are met

  • Conduct market research to identify new products and suppliers

  • Prepare purchase orders and manage the procurement process from start to finish

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that they are maintained at optimal levels

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Experience:

  • FMCG experience is a prerequisite

  • Supply Chain, Procurement or related qualification

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
