Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Chief Dealer which has arisen within the People's Own Savings Bank (POSB).

Reporting to the Treasury Executive, the Chief Dealer will be responsible for implementing appropriate treasury strategies to manage the bank's assets and liabilities, ensuring sufficient liquidity and profitability within acceptable levels of risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury operations and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Result Areas:


  • Formulate and implement treasury strategies to achieve the bank's financial objectives

  • Manage liquidity and ensure sufficient funding for the bank's operations

  • Conduct money market trading to optimize returns

  • Manage foreign exchange risk and exposure

  • Mobilize deposits to support the bank's funding requirements

  • Manage equities portfolios to achieve maximum returns

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal risk management policies and procedures

  • Manage and mentor a team of treasury staff to achieve departmental objectives


Skills/Competencies:

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Sound understanding of banking operations and systems

  • Strong internal and external customer focus

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills


Qualifications and Experience:

  • First degree in Finance/Economics/Business Studies or Mathematics

  • ACI Dealing Certificate or any other treasury-related qualification

  • IOBZ qualification is an added advantage

  • At least 3 years of experience in the treasury function in a financial institution

  • Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
