Swift Transport Zimbabwe is currently seeking Class 2 Drivers to fill multiple vacancies. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty vehicles and ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods.
The successful candidates will possess a valid Class 2 Driver's License, relevant certifications, and a proven track record of driving heavy-duty vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking for a new challenge in the transportation industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company regulations.
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness.
- Adhere to proper loading and unloading procedures and secure cargo appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including trip logs, fuel usage, and maintenance reports.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Comply with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the company.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful during interactions with clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of 5 O-Levels, including English and Mathematics.
- Hold a valid Class 2 Driver's License with a re-test.
- Have a valid medical certificate and Defensive Driving Certificate.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience driving heavy-duty vehicles with traceable references.
- Be 35 years of age and above.
- Provide a valid Police Clearance certificate.
