General Manager (Advertising Agency)

Our client is a leading advertising agency based in Zambia. They deliver strategic marketing solutions to help brands connect with their target audiences.

The agency is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations and drive business growth. This senior leadership position is responsible for managing teams, business performance, client relationships and industry developments.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee compliance with statutory regulations governing the advertising industry

  • Coordinate business development events, office administration, and recruitment

  • Develop, implement and optimize content strategy across platforms

  • Manage end-to-end production of advertising campaigns

  • Source compelling content and conduct research to support client goals

  • Collaborate with creative professionals and external partners on projects

  • Leverage SEO best practices to maximize campaign reach and engagement

  • Prepare management reports on KPIs, budgets, milestones and new opportunities

  • Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships to sustain business partnerships

  • Continuously upgrade industry knowledge and professional networks

  • Set service rates and monitor budget performance against targets

  • Schedule team workloads, conduct meetings, assign tasks and monitor progress

  • Coach teams, assess performance metrics, and facilitate career development


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Marketing, English, Journalism)

  • 6+ years senior advertising experience managing teams to success

  • Valid membership with Advertising Association

  • Leadership, strategy, presentation and project management expertise

  • Strong business acumen and relationship-building abilities

  • Exceptional communication, ethics and quality orientation


Remuneration:

  • Net monthly salary of USD1,000

  • Willingness to relocate permanently to Zambia
