Logistics Officer

Our client is a well-established FMCG/Manufacturing company based in Mutare. They are known for their high-quality products and dedication to customer satisfaction. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a competent Logistics Officer to join their team.

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics operations of the company. This includes coordinating transportation, managing inventory, and optimizing resource utilization to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to schedule and track deliveries.

  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely stock replenishment.

  • Monitor and analyze transportation costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to logistics operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and resolve any logistics-related issues.

  • Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
