Print Designer/Operator

We are currently working with a client who is seeking a skilled and motivated Designer/Operator to join their team. Our client operates in a dynamic industry and specializes in large format printing, digital printing, and fabric printing.

They are seeking an individual who can design for and operate various printing equipment, including large format printers, digital printers, direct digital fabric printers, and has the willingness to learn digital 3D printing and UV printing. Sales skills and a valid driver's license are also required for this position.

As a Designer/Operator, you will be responsible for designing and operating a range of printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This includes large format printing, digital printing, direct digital fabric printing, and potentially digital 3D printing and UV printing. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their design requirements, creating visually appealing designs, and operating the printing equipment to produce the final output. Additionally, your sales skills will be utilized to promote the company's services and attract new clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Design and create visually appealing graphics, artwork, and other materials for printing.

  • Operate large format printers, digital printers, direct digital fabric printers, and potentially digital 3D printers and UV printers.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and provide creative solutions.

  • Ensure that printed materials meet quality standards and client specifications.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Manage print production schedules, including job setup, printing, and finishing.

  • Continuously learn and adapt to new printing technologies and techniques.

  • Utilize sales skills to promote the company's printing services and attract new clients.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships.

  • Handle administrative tasks related to design and printing operations.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in the field of large format printing, digital printing, or related areas.

  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Familiarity with large format printers, digital printers, direct digital fabric printers, and UV printers is highly desirable.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, such as digital 3D printing.

  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients.

  • Valid driver's license to facilitate client visits and material pickups/deliveries.
