Senior Truck Mechanics

Our client, a leading FMCG/Manufacturing company based in Mutare, is seeking skilled and experienced Senior Truck Mechanics to join their maintenance team.

The Senior Truck Mechanics will be responsible for conducting inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks and heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.

  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing of trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.

  • Follow repair manuals and technical specifications for accurate repairs.

  • Replace faulty parts and components as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to optimize efficiency.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics as required.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Apprenticeship or Journeyperson qualification in mechanics.

  • Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic or in a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of truck and heavy-duty vehicle systems and components.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices.
