A well-known private school is seeking dynamic and experienced School Heads for their International Junior School in Victoria Falls and Senior Boarding School in Selous, Chegutu.

The School Heads will serve as the face of the school and must possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. They should have the ability to interact with individuals from diverse social, economic, political, and religious backgrounds.

Responsibilities:


  • Communicate articulately and diplomatically at all times, maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders.

  • Interact with parents, parent bodies, government representatives, and the wider community to foster positive relationships and represent the school's interests.

  • Recruit, train, and provide ongoing professional development for academic staff.

  • Oversee the academic staff, ensuring high teaching standards, and fostering a conducive learning environment.

  • Recruit and oversee students, including enrollment, discipline, and talent development.

  • Develop and execute the school's vision and mission, aligning daily operations with the curriculum goals.

  • Assume responsibility for all administrative functions, including budget allocations, supplies, materials, staff, and equipment.

  • Uphold academic, sports, cultural, and ethical standards while complying with relevant state statutes, particularly health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain discipline while fostering an environment that promotes the growth and well-being of staff and students.

  • Coach sports, music, allied arts, robotics, or other relevant areas.

  • Ensure the overall success and reputation of the school.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred).

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational institution.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Coaching experience in sports, music, allied arts, robotics, or related areas.

  • Strong organizational and management abilities.

  • Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation.

  • Understanding of educational best practices and current trends.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Committed to maintaining high academic standards and fostering a positive school culture.
