Technical Salesperson: Plumbing

PG Industries (Zimbabwe) Limited is a prominent manufacturing and sales company operating through three subsidiaries: PG Merchandising, Zimtile, and PG Glass.

With a wide range of products and a strong market presence, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Salesperson with expertise in plumbing to join our team at PG Centre.

As a Technical Salesperson specializing in plumbing, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our plumbing products to customers. Your role will involve providing technical expertise, assisting customers in selecting the right products, and achieving sales targets.

You should have a solid understanding of plumbing systems, fittings, and fixtures, as well as excellent sales and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Promote and sell plumbing products to customers, including contractors, plumbers, and retail customers.

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers regarding plumbing systems, fittings, and fixtures.

  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products to meet their specific requirements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.

  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth and profitability of the plumbing product line.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our plumbing products.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors' offerings to effectively position our products in the market.

  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop sales strategies and plans for the plumbing product line.

  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote our plumbing products and generate leads.

  • Provide training and support to customers on the proper use, installation, and maintenance of our plumbing products.

  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and other relevant information in the CRM system.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns for the plumbing product line.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in sales and marketing or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a hardware environment, preferably in plumbing sales.

  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, fittings, and fixtures.

  • Ability to effectively train and educate customers on plumbing products.

  • Knowledge of other hardware products is an added advantage.

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving targets.
