POS Technician

NMB Bank Limited is looking for a highly skilled and motivated POS Technician to join our dynamic team in Harare. As a POS Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our merchant services and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

Your expertise in POS hardware and software, along with your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, will contribute to the success of our merchant services team.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform hardware and software configurations for Point of Sale systems.

  • Deploy and set up POS hardware at various merchant locations.

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on POS hardware and software as needed.

  • Manage relationships with merchants and agents to ensure excellent service delivery.

  • Address customer queries and provide support for POS-related issues.

  • Facilitate POS machine upgrades and provide ongoing technical support.

  • Drive merchant POS activity, including revitalizing idle POS systems.

  • Apply payment processing knowledge to identify merchant needs and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Utilize strong time management skills to effectively respond to a fast-paced environment.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in POS systems.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the field of POS and Merchant Services.

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Systems or Business Studies.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of payment processing and merchant relationship management.

  • Ability to analyze merchant needs and create effective solutions.
