Spring Hub Publishing is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Proof Reader to join our team. As a Proof Reader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our educational materials.

Your keen eye for detail, linguistic expertise, and dedication to upholding our house style will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Review documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and conformity to house style.

  • Fact-check content for accuracy and plagiarism.

  • Make corrections and suggest edits to improve clarity, coherence, and overall quality.

  • Ensure consistency in formatting, style, and tone throughout the content.

  • Collaborate with authors, editors, and designers to ensure a seamless publishing process.

  • Conduct thorough proofreading to identify and correct errors in text, graphics, and layout.

  • Verify reference citations, tables, figures, and other visual elements for accuracy and consistency.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, language conventions, and publishing guidelines.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a style guide to ensure consistency across publications.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve writing style, clarity, and overall content quality.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in proofreading and publishing.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communication, Journalism, or related field.

  • Sound knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • A sharp eye for detail and strong attention to accuracy.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
