Our client is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Attorney with experience in insolvency law to join their dynamic team. As a Junior Attorney, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's insolvency practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to insolvency law cases.

  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.

  • Attend court proceedings and hearings, representing clients in insolvency matters.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide valuable insights.

  • Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, clients, and other parties involved in insolvency cases.

  • Conduct client interviews to gather relevant information and assess legal needs.

  • Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.

  • Stay updated on changes in insolvency laws and regulations to provide accurate and informed advice to clients.

  • Support senior attorneys in preparing for trials and settlement negotiations.

  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • LLB degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • Admission as an attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in insolvency law, specifically in liquidations and sequestrations.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • Reside in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.


Remuneration:

  • Monthly basic salary ranging from R20,000 to R25,000.

  • Company vehicle provided.
